It goes without saying that property damage can be an extremely stressful and uncomfortable experience. Nobody wants to have their own belongings or possessions damaged, let alone having to think about the financial consequences surrounding it too. Fortunately, you are able to claim insurance for some things, meaning that the expenses are covered. As time goes on, it’s likely that your property will start to suffer from defects or damage. Damage to your property can be caused by a myriad of different things, such as fires, theft, burst pipes and fallen trees. With this in mind, it’s best to have your property protected with insurance.

At All Property Claims, we understand that making an insurance claim can be both difficult and daunting, that’s why our expert team are on hand to give you a helping hand. Whether you’re looking for an assessment of works and costs for your insurance company or you’re after property damage repairs, we’re the company for you. If you’re unsure how All Property Claims can help you and your insurance claim, then this guide will be perfect for you!

Property Claims That We Account For

Here at All Property Claims, we take pride in our ability to deal with any type of property claim. From malicious damage to leaking pipes, here are some property claims that we can help you with!

Fire Damage

If you find that you are a victim of fire damage, then you can call on us to either arrange an immediate survey of the building or to organise a safe removal of any debris. Being a victim of fire damage is undoubtedly an awful experience, and it can be difficult to know what to do afterwards. Whilst you can go straight to your insurance company to discuss your options, fire insurance claims tend to be expensive and therefore you cannot always guarantee that they are going above and beyond to ensure you are completely satisfied. Appointing us not only means that your damage is professionally assessed, but we will also negotiate the works with your insurer and also complete all of the restoration and building work ourselves.

Floor Water Damage

When it comes to house claims, floor water damage is something that certainly should not be overlooked. If your floors have become damaged by floods, then the exterior and interior of your property can be seriously damaged. Water damage can encourage mould growth, which poses a serious health risk to those with asthma and allergies. The condition of your floors makes a big difference in your home, which is why we will always prompt insurers to replace damaged floors with ones of equal quality. Some insurers will aim to save costs by drying everything without actually stripping the floor out. By enlisting the help of All Property Claims, we will communicate with the insurers and come to to an agreement for a full strip out of tiles, vinyl or wood flooring.

Malicious Damage

Whether you’re a landlord or a homeowner, you want your property to be in the best condition possible. The term malicious damage refers to reckless, negligent damage which has been caused by both misuse and abuse. If you believe that your property has been subject to malicious damage, then your first port of call should be the police, who will then provide a crime reference number. Whilst your property damage claim is being processed, All Property Claims are here to provide you with emergency repairs.

Leaking Pipes

Another type of claim that we cover is leaking pipes. Just one minor leak can have serious consequences for the rest of your property, so it’s strongly recommended that this addressed in the first instance. In this case, you can contact All Property Claims to identify the leak and instruct the insurers to pay for the trace and access work. What is Our Process?

Now that we have addressed the different types of damage claims that we can help with, it is worth knowing how our work process works. It’s still important to note, however, that every property insurance claim is different. This means that the time it takes to complete can vary from case to case. The more complex the case, the longer it will take to finalise. Despite this, our insurance claim process typically follows these six stages!

Stage 1

In the first instance, you will get in touch with us. After finding out more information about what the damage is, we will then collect your insurance details and then book a survey. It is important for us to understand the severity of the situation beforehand, and it might be a good idea to take photos and videos of the damage in the first instance just to strengthen your case further.

Stage 2

Once the survey has been arranged, the surveyor will then arrive at your property to take photos, measurements and any other necessary details of what the damage is and when it happened.

Stage 3

Using the photos and the information collected, we will then prepare a report and devise a quote reflecting how much we believe it will cost to repair the damage. This quote is then sent off to your insurer within forty-eight hours of our visit.

Stage 4

At this stage, we will request the insurers to appoint a loss adjuster. This loss adjuster will then meet our surveyor on-site to try and come to an agreement on the costs.

Stage 5

As soon as the costs are agreed upon by the insurance company, the contractor will then carry out their work.

Stage 6

Once the work is finished, the bill is then sent to the insurance company. One of the benefits of hiring us is that you will be not charged if we take on your case. By operating under the regulation of the Financial Conduct Authority, any settlement claims are handled directly with the insurance company.
